Intro

Big Stone Gap was formed in 2007, near Uttoxeter, England.

A fusion of styles, ranging from blues, folk, country and bluegrass comes together through guitars, vocals, fiddle, banjo and bass. BSG members Karen, Neil, Gilly, John and Nik have a wide and varied musical background, tastes and experience which come together to give a distinctive feel to their renditions of both well-known and lesser-known songs.

The band's name is taken from the town of the same name in the Appalachians of Virginia. Gilly's dad was once over there on business and got stuck in bad weather. He was put up for the night by some kind soul in the town (there is a longer story......) We liked the tale and thought the town would provide a good band name and a reflection of some of our 'country' influences and style.

Under Construction.....................
